$1.6 Million in Unclaimed Property Returned in December: Are You Owed Money?
In December 2024, the West Virginia State Treasurer's Office returned an impressive $1.65 million in unclaimed property to rightful owners.
Covering 1,202 claims and 3,715 individual properties, this effort reflects Treasurer Larry Pack’s commitment to reuniting people with their lost assets.
Since the start of the fiscal year on July 1, 2024, the state has returned over $22.2 million to residents, with a record-breaking $8.5 million distributed in November alone.
Yet, there’s still $472.5 million in unclaimed property waiting to be claimed.
How to Check for Unclaimed Property
Finding out if you’re owed money is simple.

It’s worth taking a few moments to search—you might discover funds you didn’t know you were owed.
